Nonconsensual pornography (NCP) is the act of distributing pornographic images of individuals without their consent. Victims report feelings of humiliation, distress, and shame. Because of the nature of the internet, it can be difficult to completely take down victims' images, and they can be circulated years after the initial posting. Forty-three states plus the District of Columbia have laws combatting NCP, but many primarily focus on revenge porn. NCP does not always include elements of revenge or spite. As a result, victims affected without an apparent reason have difficulty seeking justice. During my time at MuckRock, I launched this investigative project looking into gaps that exist in American NCP laws.

The Massachusetts State Police has increased spending on electronic control devices, weapons that has been marketed as the "safest immediate use of force" by Axon (formerly Taser International). Subsequently, taser usage has increased amongst the Mass State Police, where there is minimal accountability or oversight. Although tasers have been sold to law enforcement officials as a safer alternative to guns, the longterm effects that tasers can have on the body are still unclear. This article was written in collaboration with my partners from Emerson's Data Visualization course, the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism, MuckRock, and the Online News Association. The Fire Sale project focuses on firearm and weapons usage, sale, and procurement in Massachusetts.

From March to May, I contributed research and gathered information for nightly coronavirus reports. The selected clips below are examples of stories I worked on during my time at the station.
